A special thank you Rockford University for making the Y a volunteer organization of choice! Volunteers will teach youth various sports. Focuses will include skill development, sportsmanship and teamwork. Youth sports encourage physical activity, improve mental health, improve academic performance and promote social connections. Volunteers will play a critical role in providing these experiences on Health​y Kids Day. ​For more information about Healthy Kids Day​, please visit www.rockriverymca.org​. As a volunteer ambassador at the YMCA you will be invited to interview for this volunteer role. All ambassadors are asked to complete a national background check, and child abuse prevention and protection training. A valid ID is required as a part of our on-site intake process.
