Adult Achiever's will engage with middle and high school program participants with the YMCA of Rock River Valley. Volunteer Ambassadors will articulate, safeguard, model and promote the values and mission of the YMCA. Volunteers will work with youth in a group setting chaperoning during enrichment activities, facilitating/participating in teen program sessions, mentoring, providing programming feedback. The volunteer will serve youth at the Good Shepherd YMCA and SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA, in addition to off-site mentor opportunities. As a mentorship and support ambassador at the YMCA you will be invited to interview for this volunteer role. All ambassadors are asked to complete a national background check, and child abuse prevention and protection training. The age requirement for ambassador volunteers is 21 years of age or older.
