Join us as a Properties Ambassador. Spend time at the YMCA while supporting specialized projects. Ambassadors will have a variety of projects to choose from that create a welcoming atmosphere at the YMCA. Your work enhances our capacity to impact people of all backgrounds, abilities, and interests. Clean, safe and attractive facilities ensure our operating viability and position us as a leader in our community. As a volunteer ambassador at the YMCA you will be invited to interview for this volunteer role. All ambassadors are asked to complete a national background check, and child abuse prevention and protection training. The age requirement for ambassador volunteers is 16 years of age or older. You'll support the commitment of the YMCA to child abuse prevention by: - Report any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor. - Follow all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children. - Report any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor. - Complete all child abuse prevention training as required.
