The YMCA is proud to partner with Kids Spot. The Y is the starting point for many children to learn about becoming and staying active, and developing healthy habits they’ll carry with them throughout their lives. As an Ambassador volunteer you will help kids reach their full potential by providing a safe, fun, and encouraging environment for kids to learn gymnastics, build confidence, and make new friends. Gymnastics Ambassadors must be referred to the YMCA by Kids Spot. As a youth sports volunteer ambassador at the YMCA you will be invited to interview for this volunteer role. All ambassadors are asked to complete a national background check, CDC concussion training and child abuse prevention and protection training. You'll support the commitment of the YMCA to child abuse prevention by: - Report any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor. - Follow all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children. - Report any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor. - Complete all child abuse prevention training as required.
